HOT OFF THE PRESS.....on a HOT day.....about a HOT day....Our TLC 2 Wood day - yesterday at Old Coulsdon - was once again a roaring success.

 

It was great to see 26 entrants registered and despatched to the two greens to expertly ply their trade!  A BIG welcome to so many ladies from Carshalton - we nearly needed a third rink!

 

So we are pleased to say there were representatives from Carshalton, Croydon Bowling & Sports Club, Purley Sports, Purley Bury, Old Coulsdon and Shirley. Excellent turn out and undeterred by the warm weather.

 

Our thanks to all the markers and those who set up the rinks, to the umpire (Rick Long) and David Dyer for making the draw and throwing it up on the big screen. Further hip-hips for the refreshing bar and the fresh rolls and snacks. What could be better (maybe a French born Englishman working his way through the Wimbledon Draw? No - TLC wins hands down.....)

 

This event is now well established in the Summer bowling calendar and provides both fun and competition -

in lovely surroundings.
